On September 4, thirty-two players enjoyed a very fun and friendly day of bowling. Teams were chosen by a modified random draw and divided into two sections, each playing a round robin of three games, with the winning team of each section playing in a final game. Jim Irvine, Chuck Cooke, Cindy Lee, and Janet Doskotch fought a tight game against Ian Hammocks, Betty Locke, Jim Froese, and Virginia Day. The two teams exhibited some excellent bowling for the spectators and they made it even more exciting to watch by being tied going into the last end. The result was that Jim Irvine's team was victorious. Betty Locke told the players a little history of Denny Baker and how much he cared about other people. She said he would have liked to have seen everyone having so much fun.
