Jim Lee Tournament

Jim Lee was one of the founding members of CLBC and was instrumental in the development of the green. A tournament in his memory was held on a beautiful, sunny day - Sunday, June 1 with Keith Thorpe as the organizer. Six triples teams played a round robin of 5 six end games. At the end of the round robin, two teams were tied, with 4 wins each. These teams were Maria Ridewood, Jude Cahoon, and Darren Takao; and Sue Higbie, Brian Cameron, and Kevin Allen. To settle the tie, Keith had the two leads, Darren and Kevin, roll two bowls each to a jack. One of Kevin's bowls was closest, so the team of Sue, Brian, and Kevin was victorious. We are all very proud of Kevin who just joined the club last year and was playing in his first tournament ever. Way to go Kevin!
