End of Year Jitney - Sad but Fun

Sunday, October 2 saw the End of Year Jitney, organized by Betty Burnett. Some people wore black because they were sad that the season is over and other people wore colours because they are still having fun. After a Spider, won by our newest member Kathy Van Elk, we played two games - Backwards Bowls, where the bowls were thrown before the jack and Double Jeopardy, where two jacks were thrown. The winning team was Joan Appleton, Ian Hammocks, and Kathy VanElk. Second place went to the team of Don Unger, and Janet and Jeff Doskotch. The third place team was Lee Lavis, Tim Stevens, and Catherine Coulis. After lunch and prize giving, President Tim Stevens gave a short speech and lowered the flag for the last time this year. Another successful and fun season has been completed.
