Dennis, Jesse, David, Jeff, Liam and Chase were on site today working on finishing up the cement forms and placing the reinforcing rods or Rebar as it is known. The Rebar is added to give the cement tensile strength and prevent cracking.
A second check of the greens indicated the diagonal measurements were out by approximately 2 1⁄2 inches. Keeping the East side as a base required adjusting the forms on the other 3 sides to ensure a true square.
The cement pour is now planned for Tuesday.
Did you know that in 2018, $275 Billion of Rebar was manufactured and consumed around the world. Turkey is the worlds leading exporter of Rebar. China is the biggest consumer. Almost all of the Rebar is made from scrap metal.
