Bill Ferguson created a new game for the Canada Day Jitney in which players bowled on a different rink each end, against a different team, and with some challenges. After a Spider, which was won by Bob Stevens, a group photograph was taken, followed by the singing of Oh Canada. The games began with six ends, followed by lunch where everyone brought a delicious dessert to share, and then another six ends after lunch. Out of 42 players, the winning team was Bonnie Younger, Lori Brown, and Gord Park. Second was Jim Irvine, Kerry Davis, and Pete Edgar. Third was Don Unger, Jim Appleton, and Bernie Quarterman. The best Canada Day costume was worn by Jeff Doskotch who went all out and wowed everyone. His outfit went very well with the beautiful decorations that the Hospitality Committee put up. The weather was perfect and everyone had a wonderful time.
