Canada Day Jitney

Updated: Jul 4

A beautiful sunny day brought out 36 participants for the Canada Day Jitney, organized by Bill Ferguson and Murray Trudel, and a good time was had by most. There were many close games but Jim Irvine's team with Janet Doskotch, Janice Winfrey, and Duncan Locke had 3 wins and took first place. Chuck Cooke and his team mates Beth Driedger and Cindy Lee  finished second with 2 wins and the most points scored. Ian’s and Roy’s 3rd place records were identical but in a thrilling one bowl roll off to the Jack, Ian edged out Roy to capture 3rd place. Betty Locke won the spider and Chuck won the 50/50 draw for $73 proving there is money to be made lawn bowling.

Mike Hanson took the group photo and Reen Lloyd took photos of the winning teams.
