Five men and five women competed in the Novice Tournament, organized by Penny Irvine, on Sunday, August 7, a beautiful, sunny day. Leighton Mellamstrand was the men's champion and Janice Winfrey was the women's champion. Ross Bulley was the umpire and several club members acted as markers. Reen Lloyd supplied lots of coffee, tea, and goodies throughout the day.
