Twenty-five spectators came out to cheer on the ladies in The Ladies Singles Club Championship on August 17 and 18. Sue Higbie won the championship, followed in second place by Vivian Bleeks and third place by Maria Ridewood. Bill Ferguson, the organizer, would like to thank all the people who helped to make this a successful event, from Ross as umpire, to the markers, to Reen and helpers in the kitchen, and all the people who came out early to help set up. Roy Wilkinson was at the green at 6:20 AM. The day was made even more enjoyable when a cake was brought out to celebrate Betty Locke's 84th Birthday.
